Landfall Press: Five Decades Puzzle No.2

December 2019, the exhibition Landfall Press: Five Decades of Printmaking was still on view at the Milwaukee Art Museum. The companion book Landfall Press: Five Decades was being readied for publication in January 2020. For all of us, the world became a very different place after March 2020. We all sat tight and rode out the pandemic as best we could. We read. We ate. We watched our phones, computers and televisions. All of us were puzzled about what was next and what to do next. Then we had this idea for something NEW in 2022..

We decided to turn the puzzling future into something to enjoy. We pieced together a series of three limited edition Landfall Press jigsaw puzzles. These three large 27 x 20.5 inch 400 piece puzzles are suitable for framing. We’ve sized them to fit a stock 28 x 22 frame.

The puzzles are made from uncut press sheets used to make the Landfall Press book. Rather than create landfill, we decided to take these “lemons” and make something suite. We imagined people would enjoy putting together the Landfall Press story one piece at a time. Each puzzle is published in a limited edition of 50. The first 20 orders receive one of two custom recycled coasters!!
